I found a couple of recipes on Pinterest on how to make your own body wash which is relatively affordable. So I've adapted them to make my own So here's what you will need:- 1) A pot 2) Soap of your choice (I used dove soap 45p) 3) 2 tblspns coconut water 3) 1 cup of tap water 4) Olive oil 5) Containers to put body wash into 6) A grater First things first. I lined the pot with olive oil. It's great for skin as well which is an added bonus. I then grated the bar of soap and put the pot on a low heat For this next bit I would recommend wearing a mask and not putting your head in direct line of the steam cause you'll choke lol. Open windows and doors to let air in. Turn up to a medium heat and Slowly start to add a bit of soap a bit of water and stir. Keep doing this, if you need to add an extra half cup of water go ahead and do so. Make sure to whisk it a bit to get rid of any lumpy bits. Next add 2 tablespoons of coconut water. It's great for dry skin so if you want to be generous with it go right ahead :) stir it in and mix it well. Let it settle and cool for a bit until it is safe to pour into your containers. You don't want your containers to melt. Trust me haha! I had three 100ml bottle and that was just enough. So with this recipe you can make 300mls of body wash :) And finally decorate to your hearts content. I put double sided tape around the neck and applied some pretty ribbons to it. You can get some cellophane and pack them together to give as a gift for someone :) they're really pretty and everyone will think you're a dab hand at crafty things ;) You're welcome hehe.

For the summer I'm trying to get into the way of doing Zumba again. I have it on xbox kinnect which is awesome. So I'm doing my cardio one day, then yoga and muscle toning on alternative days. To try and burn off a little fat and build up the muscle. Also trying to eat healthier (again lol) so I've started cooking things that I see on pinterest, and I have to say they are delicious:) Go follow me on Pinterest to see what I'm pinning and what I love at the moment. When I'm feeling a bit more adventurous and active I try and throw in another work out from my July 2014 pinboard. I'm feeling a lot more awake and rejuvinated, ready for the summer heat wave that we have in the UK at the moment :) Today I completed this work out from POPsugar fitness, at first I was like "meh" then I felt the burn and I was sweating like crazy haha! Try it, it's 10 minutes of your day, and works your abs. |
