I love yoga, granted I am not flexible yogi but I still love the feeling it gives me when I stretch, breath deeply and relax. I am as flexible as a May pole, no not the ribbons, the actual pole itself haha! But after a few weeks of doing yoga at the end of last summer I found my flexibility had improved slightly. Here are some of my favourite poses for beginners that are great for stretching the core and the hips. Granted the middle one I'm not sure is an official pose, it is great for strengthening not only your core but your will power and determination! :D
At the minute my lower back has been quite tender lately, so I love the ragdoll pose at the minute, I find it gives a lot of relief and then when you fully relax into that pose it just feels like those little bubbles of pain just pop even for a little while
